Case it Monday week 1
TOP TIP:- When ripping paper like these strips are, then rip towards you to get that extra bit of roughness.
Here we go the start of my Case it Monday, this week I am casing a card from page 108 of the May 2022-April 2023 and I continuing to use the Hues of Happiness I bought. This is something I try and do on each new catalogue launch, the next catalogue I will be doing something a bit different that will push me out of my comfort zone, come back and find out what in January. This card I stared with a piece of A4 card stock I cut it at 5 15/16ths or 15.1cms (1 mark before the 6”) with the long piece along the top of the cutter. I then score both pieces it at 10.5cms, fold and crease. It is good to get into this habit as your card bases increase then if you suddenly need to make a card the base will then be ready for a topper and sentiment.
I used Fresh Freesia on this card. The ribbon I attached the ribbon using some Snail (glue tape) if there is an overhang then turn the card over ad cut, by doing it this way you have the edge of the card as a guide. The next layer are the thin strips now you can make these as long or short as you like I didn’t want them sticking out of the bottom of the sentiment strip. 2 and 3/4” or 7cms. I used the die that is part of the set to give it a bit of a pattern. The words can be used on most cards, the only one that I wouldn’t is a Sympathy card.
Most of my sentiments I stamp using the Stamperatus it’s a wonderful tool, i will either use the magnets to hold the piece of card down or draw the outer parameter of the sentiment strip because It is vital that it goes back to the exact spot. I used dementionals to give the card a little height,
Keep warm and stay safe.
