Prized Peony Simple card
Prized Peony DSP
I thought today I would show you 2 cards I made using the same paper one in landscape and one in Portrait. I am using the dsp(designer series paper) from the Prized Peony Suite.
It is best to choose your Sentiment and stamp before you start on the card this allows time for the ink to dry.
To make the Portrait card I use a sheet of A4 Thick Whisper White scored at 4 and 1/8th(10.5cm's on the short side at the top and cut at 1/8ths short of 6" or (15.1cms) on the long sides at the top score with the bump or raised score line in the middle and use a bone folder the crease. By using a bone folder it helps the card stand up better. For the Landscape card you reverse the steps you score with the long side on the top and cut at 10.5 again score and crease with a bone folder.
For the dsp Matt (or layer) measure the card 1/2cm smaller on the top and 1 side. It's up to you at this stage to decide how much of a difference you want between at he Matt and card. If it is a lovely paper then I do tend to use the 1/2 cms border on nice paper and then a small sentiment so you see as much of the paper as possible. You can decide if you want to round the corners or not. Personally I prefer to so have done one of each so you can see which you prefer.
For the Bow cut a 12" piece of ribbon and follow the video on making the Bow. Place some Double Sided Tape on the back of the Matt and position the ribbon where you want to. This is again depending on where you prefer to put it. Raise the Sentiments onto Dimensional and finish by adhering the Matt to the card so as to have a even a border as possible.
I like to turn the card over to give it a final rub, this way if there is any wet ink you wont smudge it.
